Extensive experience in mushroom cultivation

Ron Michels knows mushroom cultivation from the inside out. He grew up among mushrooms and, throughout his career, built extensive experience in cultivation, harvesting, organization, and technology. This combination forms the foundation of Michels Mushroom Support. Ron does not view a farm solely from a cultivation perspective. According to him, a strong business result stems from the interplay between product, people, technology, and organization.

Practical Knowledge

Through his years of experience, Ron knows what happens daily in a mushroom farm. He understands the impact of small changes in the cultivation process, as well as their practical consequences during harvesting and on the work floor. As a result, he looks beyond a single isolated problem. When results are disappointing, Ron searches for the underlying cause. Which factors influence each other? Where does the problem originate? And above all: which change can lead to improvement in practice?
This way of working characterizes Michels Mushroom Support: analyzing, identifying connections, and then providing a practical solution.

Independent Advice

Michels Mushroom Support operates independently. Ron does not represent any supplier or manufacturer and has no interest in the sale of products, machinery, or installations. The interests of the farm are central. Advice must be actionable and contribute to stable production, high quality, and a healthy return.
Michels Mushroom Support supports growers in the Netherlands and abroad and can be hired for specific issues as well as for long-term guidance.
